I actually love Kirkwood but I gave it 1 star because it's closed simply out of pure corporate greed. Everyone should go buy the Ikon pass. You can ski for 2+ months longer. Seems like a no brainer to me.

I'm through with Kirkwood Use to love Kirkwood, been skiing this mountain since the mid 70's. Taught both my boys to ski here. My younger son 23 now, was following me off 20 ft. cliff drops when he was just 10 years old. When he was 14, I had an alpine race coach from a south shore high school tell me that at 14 he was already a better skier and faster than anybody he had on his team. How do you have a free ride competition and then close less than a week later? Clearly you have plenty of snow. You are blowing it. Never again.
Hurry to open with nothing and hurry to close with a 100" base before it even turns to spring. No advertising, no deals, no events, no trying. Welcome to kirkwood 2018...I cant wait to see what they dont do next year!
