Citysearch Editorial Review – Behind its gold-tinged concrete facade, this mini-mall restaurant comprises little more than a sushi bar and a few closely spaced tables; flower-filled bud vases add a hint of color. Chef-owner Ken Namba's offerings range from simple to adventurous. Menu highlights include a spicy salad of pan-fried monkfish, pine nuts and arugula; rice-turtle soup; and soy-marinated ahi and kelp sprinkled with wasabi-root shavings. For desert, tamago custard and homemade white truffle and brown sugar-ginger ice... read more

oshii ryouri yo! – We came here xmas day with my wife. The food was exceptional, the chef towards the end of the bar, maybe the owner was more than reliable on his recommendations. Not pushy always suggesting. The price is not cheap, but you definitely pay for what you get. However, we had to remind the waiter a few times about a clam miso soup that took almost 15mins to prepare. All in all, I will certainly return!

One of the best sushi restaurants in LA – Tucked away in the Olympic Collection building in the japanese district on Sawtelle, Kiriko ranks among the best sushi I have ever had in LA, and I've tried most of them. They serve very traditional style japanese cuisine. The fish is simply amazing. It melts in your mouth almost like butter. The toro and yellowtail are of course great, but don't miss the red snapper and mackeral. The ambiance is very quiet and comfortable. This isn't a place to take a large group of your rowdiest fr... read more

What A Find! – In a city known for sushi, Kiriko can holds it's own with anybody. Located in a teeny store front off on the Sawtelle sushi row, off of Olympic, Koriko is quietly serving up some of the best sushi and sashimi in LA. The smoked salmon, lightly smoked on premises, was absolutely phenomenal. Uni was of an extremely higher grade, on par with what you would get at Urusawa but for 1/4 the price. Kiriko also serves three grades of toro, always a sign you are in a true, Edo styled sushi bar. No matter what your person... read more

For sushi afficianados – The fish is all hand picked by the chef and prepared exquisitely. The proportion of fish to rice is perfect. Everything from wasabi to ponzu seems to be prepared in house. The omakase (chef's choice) is well worth the price and time. Try any of his homemade icecreams. They're all great! If you're not a fish fan, their entrees are just as well prepared. In particular the smoked salmon (smoked by the chef) and honey balsamic teriyaki chicken.

GREAT SUSHI – We went KIRIKO last week with my friends. Sushi was outstanding also they have fantastic appetizer like "White fish carpacchio" or "Home made smoked salmon and mango". My wife don't eat raw fish but she enjoy "Honey Balsamic Teriyaki Chicken"and "Grilled black cod". I went so many Sushi bar or Japanese restaurant in this area. But ... They are different. KIRIKO has little bit twisted taste.
