I was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia in the summer of 2019, and I was referred to Dr. King for MVD surgery by both the UCLA Orofacial Pain Clinic and my neurologist. I met with Dr. King and immediately felt comfortable and put at ease with his professionalism and knowledge of my condition. He said he was available for any questions and to call him if I needed anything. His office manager, Susie, was also the best, she helped with scheduling and always returned my calls quickly to answer all of my questions. My MVD surge... read more

Dr. King is the most compassionate doctor. He listens and explains in depth. My first visit he spent over an hour with me to answer all questions and concerns. He removed a pituitary tumor and I’m 5 weeks post op. Dr.King has called me several times to follow up with me and communicated with my general practitioner. To have a doctor who works as a team is very comforting when you are going through medical issues. I highly recommend Dr. King. He is experienced, compassionate, kind and has an excellent bedside manner.

I had a transnasal endoscopic excision of the pituitary tumor, to remove a TSH secreting tumor on Feb 2021, and it went incredibly smoothly. Dr. King was able to remove the tumor without puncturing my meninges, or harming any other structures. I only needed to stay in the hospital for 1 day, and was actually able to attend my mothers funeral 2 days after the surgery. The endocrinologist warned me that I may have some serious hormonal shifts for at least 3 months after the surgery, due to the shock to my pituitary. However, m... read more

After I endured a series of grueling tests, Dr. King did not bother to call about the findings. When, after weeks, I called him about the results, he was curt and dismissive and hung up on me. Thankfully another doctor explained that Dr. King was not a spine specialist and wasn't able to see the minute signs this new doctor was able to see. Would have been kind if Dr. King had told me I did not fall under his specialty and given me a referral.

He was professional, kind and caring and extremely knowledgable. Also, he developed the minimally invasive surgical techniques to treat Trigeminal Nerve disorders and is always available to answer any questions I may have.

Dr. King is the best. He took his time to explain the operation. I never felt rushed and he spent so much time answering questions and making sure I was comfortable with the procedure. He came to see me so much in the hospital and his follow up was like nothing I have ever experienced. I highly recommend him!

I wished I had all the same answers as up above. After recent research I’ve noticed I wasn’t given info about before during or after surgery. They don’t accept insurances including PPO’s. But an office member was in my room for my consultation with a credit card pad to quickly take my large consultation fee. Staff blamed each other for not requesting more than one day hospital stay after brain surgery. I actually had to be seen by my own physician to rehydrate me, within 4 days.
