I would avoid renting from this company if at all possible. The cold therapy machine was pushed on me by my surgeon, specifically to rent it through this company. I was given a sheet that said my max out of pocket would be 150, this was not true. I’ve already paid twice that and was placed in a payment plan despite requesting multiple times to pay outright. Cannot get a callback from Shane Durkee or Andrew Strain after a complete billing mess. I have to rely on Kinex again in August and right now, I feel like I cannot trust them financially. They simply do not believe in caring for clients and it sucks. Everything said below about how they make you pay, then bill insurance and then try to keep your money after insurance paid is 100% true. And I have the receipts.
Kinex Medical did what they said they would do, they were on time, explained how the equipment works. The equipment is error proof and simple to use. The cooling process is awesome! No mess, easy to use and it works!
I have the machine for the knee replacement to move my knee and Matthew has been great. I had a small problem with the machine, very small. He came right out and replaced it instantly. So far I think this is a wonderful company and if you have a knee replacement, the machine that I have, Kinetix, is a wonderful machine.
This company sucks and use a bait and switch tactic to stick you with more charges than they explain to you at the hospital. They barged into my hospital room immediately after knee replacement, said I could cash pay for a cpm machine after insurance declined it, had me sign a form saying this, and the kinex representative verbally told me that we’d have the machine for 21 days @$6/day plus a $30 admin fee.
