The Entire staff at Kindred Hospital Pittsburgh take their job personally. Their patients are treated and cared for as an extended familly member. I would like to personally thank all the nurses who took care of my mom. The aids were wonderful too. I came to Kindred in in bad shape, flat on my back. I depended on a ventilator to breathe, feeding tube to eat and totally immobile due to previous open heart surgery. Thanks to all the great care from my nurses and therapists, I was soon breathing on my own without the assistance of a ventilator .My speech therapist assisted me in regaining the ability to eat solid food again.My meals were good, especially the pork and mashed potatoes. I reccommend Kindered Hospital Pittsburgh for wound care. Five stars to every department. The nurses were all fantastic. My wound care doctor and nurse provided with with up to date wound care treatments. My meals were served on time and the dietary department was very accommodating to my needs. I received care on two different floors of the hospital, both of which were clean and quiet. I had a private room on each of the floors I was a patient on. The first thing you notice, and you can't miss it, is how very friendly the staff is. Everyone is always smiling. Always asking how you are doing. Always asking if there is something they can don't help you get better. The therapy staff, Anthony, Sandy, Kristen (COTA), et al. are the best. They push you beyond what you think you are capable. I came to Kindred Hospital from Washington Hospital on a ventilator, unresponsive and on a feeding tube. My stay at Kindred Hospital was approximately two and one half months. Thanks to the professional care at Kindred I began responding , my respiratory issues were controlled and I was stable enough to be transferred to a nursing rehab unit to continue my recovery. I would recommend Kindred Hospital to all my corporate friends and family. I want to especially thank all the nurses on the 3rd floor. My care has been outstanding here at Kindred. I was admitted for wound care. My wound care nurse and doctors have done a great job , my wounds are improving a little each day. I am presently a patient at Kindred Hospital Pittsburgh. This is by far the best hospital experience I have had. The nurses are friendly and professional. My meals are good. All of the patients have their own private room. My room was cleaned 3 times today. My wound care team is awesome, both my doctor and nurse. I have been a patient in 10 different hospitals in the last two months, I rate Kindred Hospital Pittsburgh NUMBER ONE ! Thanks for the great care, Joe
My trip to Kindred was unexpected and something I wasn't prepared for. I was anxious coming in to what turned out to be a very positive experience. The doctors, nurses and staff were top notch and made my stay a pleasant experience. I'm truly thankful.
Everyone took care of all my needs. Physical Therapy was very thorough and I was standing ..... something I have not done for a while.
