They sold me a car that had total engine failure within 3 days. They initially refused to tow it back to the dealership and expected me to pay for it, but eventually when my dad got involved they picked it up and 3 days after that put me into another 2021 Kia Soul. I put about 10k on it because I drive to/from work everyday and I usually have between 700-1000 on it commuting everyday, nothing crazy. TheoriginalKia Soul sold to Ms. *** was a mistake on my former manager's part. It was not ready for sale. That situation was quickly rectified when a replacement vehicle, the Kia Soul in question, was sold to Ms. ***. The second Kia Soul has nothing to do with the first. The (second) Soul was sold in good faith after inspection and clean-up. It was a trade-in from a loyal customer who had serviced it religiously since buying it new in 2021. Horrible customer service department experience. My service engine light came on last week. I was told to bring it in after work for a diagnostic test. I was told it was giving 3 errors and that I would have to reschedule to bring it in to leave it longer for the mechanic to have time to figure out the issues. I told them my work schedule and that I would need a loaner or a shuttle to and from work. I was scheduled today and was told I could drop my car off at 7am and they would have my loaner car ready. I made a google review based on the customer service I received at the service department. Any time a negative review is posted about Lake Charles Kia the "owner" replies with hostility. Yet will not answer a call when someone asks to speak to him. Horrible experience all the way around.

The Manager had the nerve to say to me "I'm going to tell you one more time"! With an attitude. I had a recall on my low beams. Ended up having to pay for it because the recall had expired. Ok fine. I paid it. They said they guarantee their work for a year if I had any problems to bring it back. Well, it's only been a few months and the low beams are still flickering. I brought it back today. This dealership advertised our car for one price, then when we got there it went up an additional $2000.00. We agreed to this $2000, it was for theft and clear coat or something. At one point they had it over $10,000. Sticker price. Then it finally came down and we were told the $29,000 plus included TTL. Which was fine that made and additional $2300 in charges, made since. $500 for a new battery. Battery for some crazy reason costs $288. And, the $130 diagnostic cost is highly taxable apparently. Most auto parts stores will install it for free. I was charged $170 in labor. For a battery. I felt so enraged I literally shut down rather than challenge it. I handed the service member my card and, oh there’s 5% surcharge (I guess for not paying in gold, or cash?) I’m humbled and humiliated by the experience. I had an appointment with ******* on 3/22/22 @ 4:45pm at the Mitsubishi/Kia dealership in Lake Charles, LA. ******* called me 2 times to make sure I would be at the appointment. I explained to him that I get off at 4:30pm and would be there right after work. I explained to ******* that I was interested in the Kia Sorento and ******* wanted to show me a Mitsubishi Outlander that he had on the lot. Went through the buying process for nearly 2 hours before learning KIA of Lake Charles are adding an "upcharge" to the sticker price. They also low ball on your trade. We expected to pay sticker price not an additional 10% plus. The sales manager called this supply and demand. I call it price gouging!

Many shoppers have told us that our "upcharge" is the lowest they have seen, especially those who researched the Houston area which is reasonably close to LC. There are customers happily buying them off the truck within moments of arrival. Sticker price is a recommended price from the manufacturer and a starting point for pricing.

Talk to salesman about a specific new car I wanted to buy. He set an appointment and said yes they have just got some in. I drove two hours to get there and he had lied. No new cars on the lot that I specifically asked about. Real shame to treat people that way. Wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone.
