A salesman told me over the phone he was confident in getting me out of my current loan and was sure I could “break even”, full knowing how much my loan was and all details of my car. After going to the dealership and running numbers, he offers me less than half of what I owe on my car, and gives me an invoice of the car I test drove with 12 grand tacked onto it from my old car.
