We have a summer home in Portland and after a lot of research and talking with pet care facilities, we decided to take all our doggies to the Kenton Animal Hospital since last year. Our experience has been nothing but positive - from the front house staff, to the technicians and the vets. Dr. Nikki is very kind and considerate. I don't like to leave bad reviews, but this is an honest review. I am leaving this review out of respect for animals and the people who love them. I live in St. Johns and someone recommended Kenton Animal Hospital because the Companion clinic didn't have a veterinarian at the time. DO NOT COME HERE! The WORST thing you can do for your pet is to take them to this joke of a hospital, run by one of the most unpleasant and unethical people I have ever met, Dr. Lindsay Thurwachter. This is the worst animal hospital in town. All they're good for is a basic exam and to cut nails do not come here with any serious health condition. Our cat had huge cancer growing in the left lung that this vet completely missed. They did ultrasound and charged us crazy amount of money to just tell us that everything is ok with our cat even though his condition kept getting worse. We had an incredible experience with KAH. Our dog’s health rapidly declined they gave us thorough, direct and above all compassionate and gracious advice as we made an incredibly difficult choice. He passed so peacefully with us and with Dr Nikki. She is amazing and walks you through all of your options and will recommend what she feels is in the best interest of your pet.
