Dr. Hegwald was very helpful throughout this whole process. He made himself available for any concerns I had along the way and he did a great job fixing my broken ankle. I feel very confident i got the best possible help!
I came to Cascade Orthopedics in Nov 2016 with ankle issues from repetitive injuries. I was very apprehensive and fearful about having surgery. Dr. Hegewald took his time to explain all my options including non surgery options. He was very adamant that surgery in my case would make life more livable and would solve my ankle instability issues. Post surgery, follow up care was Excellent Dr. Hegewald gave me his personal phone number and said to call for any reason... and I did. 4 week later I'm w
Dr. Hegewald is in way too much of a hurry. I had an appointment with him in November 2017 for foot pain. He said we'd look at my X-rays. We didn't. He said he'd trim my chronic corn. He didn't. All he did was go get a pair of insoles ($40), put a metatarsal pad on one insole, and send me out the door. And charge me $ 337. Don't go to this Dr. unless you like being rushed out the door and NOT receiving services as promised.

There are many patients daily that must be seen for emergency fractures and urgent issues, putting strain on the schedule and staff while spreading my services thin at times. I try and dedicate as much time as I reasonably can to help all those I can. I'm happy to review your x rays and trim your corn at no charge. I saw Dr. Hegewald for ankle replacement procedure, before this procedure I was in pain all day all the time and thought that was what was going to be my life for the remainder of my life. I am happy to say that I am so grateful to doctor Hegewald for giving me my life back! now I have energy I feel great and feel 10 years younger to not be in pain. I was only laid up for about three weeks,after that I was able to start walking around and start recovering. I am so very grateful to have met him.
I saw two podiatrists for a Morton's neuroma before turning to Dr. Hegewald for a third opinion. After our initial visit, I knew I trusted him to surgically remove my neuroma and give me quality of life back. He explained the procedure thoroughly, answered questions in detail, and showed genuine care and concern. I can't recommend him enough!
Dr Hegewald was amazing with my son who required bilateral surgery on his hammer toes. He was compassionate, skilled, knowledgeable, spent a lot of time explaining the problems my son was experiencing and how to correct them. He explained the procedure in a way that we could understand. He has been so caring throughout the entire process. His staff is also wonderful and very kind. I would recommend Dr Hegewald to any family member. I can't say enough good things about him or his staff.
