Firstly, I should not have been billed for, I believe, was an almost $500.00 initial exam, as it was a part of the global fee for my colonoscopy. Later corrected. During my initial meet the doctor, he asked me a question - "was I on any medications?" My response was no. He was seemingly incredulous. "Patients usually are on one medication for every decade of life." He "tried" to re-group by adding "maybe there is something undiagnosed." I responded with "I don't know but I am well." My unhappiness is that I found out the day... read more
Good doctor (4 stars) but not sure that makes up for such a poorly organized practice (1 star). They are grossly understaffed. Scheduling snags, virtually impossible to reach by phone. Either no one answers the phone or, to even to leave a message, you hear something like, “There are 11 people waiting ahead of you.”Have to keep coming to the office to make a future appointment in the office. Hate to think if post surgery you needed to get in touch with this office.
Dr. Hepps is ok but the practice is so busy you can’t get through to them. I sent an email through their portal as I was in great pain and went to the emergency room. I left an email with a question for him and it took a week to get back to me. He wanted to set up a virtual call but I couldn’t do it when they called so I had to call them back. Not only was I not able to talk to anyone but the voice mailbox was full so I couldn’t even leave a message. Not acceptable for a doctor office.
Excellent doctor! One of the best Gastroenterologists in Los Angeles, I believe.
Had to wait over 6 weeks to get to see Dr. Hepps even though I explained the terrible stomach pain and bloating that I was experiencing. Asked to be put on a waiting list of cancellations. Was told the list was very long. Gave up after 3 weeks of major suffering. Found an excellent Gastro doctor and an excellent vascular surgeon. His assistant that schedules appointments leaves a lot to be desired!
An excellent and caring physician who, on at least one occasion probably saved my life when I was suffering from a severely bleeding gastric ulcer. First-rate in every respect.
Dr Hepps is a caring doctor. He goes above and beyond his calling. He listened to my needs and he is never in a hurry. I will recommend him to my family and friends
It was my first time at Dr. Hepps’ office. Everything were smooth; the staff was friendly and Dr. Hepps was very nice. I am happy about my visit but I hope that I don’t need a new one, hahaha. Overall, an excellent service and I’ll recommend Dr. Hepps for all of your Gastroenterology problems. Thank you, doc.
Explains diagnosis and recommended procedure in great and understandable detail. Very knowledgeable in his field. Great sense of humor as well. I highly recommend Dr. Hepps.
