I initially saw Dr. Portnoff back in May of 2022 after 3 positive ANA's with concerning symptoms across the board for lupus, RA and autoimmune gastritis. When I saw Dr. Portnoff, she was extremely inattentive and dismissive. She straight up told me " people with lupus dont get lightheaded" which is medically inaccurate. I explained to her that I recently had gastritis, and my GI physician was concerned for possible autoimmune gastritis. Dr. Portnoff insisted that I had "Fibromyalgia" which did not explain any of my symptoms.... read more
Doctor was very thorough and explained condition clearly and was very nice. I will be having a procedure to help and he explained options and recommendations for success. I would recommend him and the fine office staff to others.

Dr. Kallgren is patient, thorough, and friendly. I like that he also takes time to educate me while showing me films of the procedure I had on my shoulder. He's built trust with me which eases my anxiety of having procedures done to relieve pain and increase mobility. I recommend Dr. Kallgren and Valley Pain Consultants as a trusted provider.

Detailed explanation. Answered all my questions and concerns. Gave me all the time I needed and provided tips on other issue I was having.
Condescending and did not get back to me over 30 years dealing with various rheumatological problems. First visit with her as my Doctor No longer with practice. Acted like I was never sick finally agreed to run labs. A week later after visit having received abnormal labs still no answer and to not reach anyone live there. Had to go to emergency care and then an ophthalmologist. Both he and my PCP said labs severely abnormal but could not provide further details and my own portal did not answer that either
This Dr. Is easy to talk to . He communicates well . I felt very much at ease. He understood exacty as I described where my pain was and reviewed my previous visit and treatment as well before going forward with further treatment which is a flare up from before.
