I have been so very sick in the last few months with lupus. I recently moved to Portland and needed to quickly get established with a new rheumatologist. I went to Dr. Portnoff because, unlike other rheumatologists, she did not have a long wait to get in to see her. Now I understand why. I completely regret going to her - no compassion, didn't listen well, didn't clearly explain things and very dismissive. I will not be going back to her.
Dr. Portnoff has been my doctor for more than three years and she has always been great with me. The initial course of action has worked great and her nurse, Kim, is super nice.
What a joke this wanna be doctor is, rudest Dr I've ever met with, unprofessionalet and cold. Never going back and would NEVER recommend her to anyone. Save yourself some time and go elsewhere.
Dr.Portnoff came in the room and immediately started acting like an entitled idiot. When I tried to explain my symptoms I was cut off, and she didn't want to hear anything from me. I was asked to bring in any previous paperwork that was pertinent to my visit, and she didn't want to see any of it. She was condescending and rude the entire 15 mins. After doing a brief physical examination, she was adamant I have fibro, not an autoimmune disease (which I already have one). $400 later and no answers
