Editorial Review – Cozy Midtown gem serves authentic Greek dishes and also offers an array selection of cocktails for a grand ol' time.
The best restaurant! – Living in a diverse city such as New York it is hard to make a good food choice and a restaurant like "Kellari" it is rare to find. I had an amazing experience at Kellari Taverna one Friday night starting at the hospitability of the staff and the food which was so fresh and delicious. This cozy restaurant is right in the center of the most famous city, New York. It is classy and romantic place with a combination of old tradition with the new one.Kellari offers many jewels of the sea"fish", meat for mea... read more
Opa! – Hands down the best greek restaurant in the city. Just walking in and taking it all in you know you're in for something special. The decor combines modern sensibility with a rustic warmth and I was impressed by how it all works together. Over all dinner was just amazing but to me the winner was my appetizer; the sea bass fritters with the garlic mousse and beets should be an entree!
Kellari – This was an unexpected find in New York. I could believe the excellent Greek food this restaurant is preparing. Coming from Greece to New York it was a surprise. The place is very warm compare to other Greek restaurants..
Great Greek food! – This is one of the best Greek restaurants i have visited in Manhattan. The decor is beautiful, service is decent, but most importantly...the food is amazing. Very very fresh fish and a great selection of mezze. They also give you lots of extras, when you first sit down you are served a great red pepper spread and and endless supply of rosmary infused olives...and the bread is really amazing...an atkins followers worst nightmare. When you leave they have a selection of cookies and tasty treats. I would str... read more
Awesome service, food and vibe – A nice surprise. We were looking for a decent place to eat and discuss work, and Kellari has improved since I was last there! The place has done a complete 180 from food to service to hospitality. Walking in, hostesses were polite and accomodating. We ordered a bolttle of Gaia (it was recommended by one of the managers), and it went perfect with our meal. We had the Mediterranean snapper and the lamb chops after the langustines appetizer.. Everything came out in good time, which was nice beca... read more
Just Great – Simply one of the friendliest restaurant that me and my wife have been in New York. The food was excellent and very fresh. I have been back three times and plan to go more.
The best restaurant in Manhattan is Kellari for sure. The very fresh fish and the friendly atmosphaire, are the strong point of this restaurant. I went there with my friends and it was unbelievable great. My friends and I like fish and good wine. Both of those are plenty of there and specially the wines. There is a long wine list and the server right next to you, to explain what is the better for any occasion. Also the decoration there is something amazing. The big mirrors, the tables, the candles and the full bar, are much ... read more
Best fresh fish in the City! – My wife and I definitely enjoyed this beautiful greek restaurant in mid-town theater district. The pre-fixe dinner menu was a surprisingly good value. I enjoyed fresh kalarmai, a whole grilled medditerranean lavraki, and fished the meal with fresh pressed yogurt with walnuts and honey and coffee. My wife enjoyed a spanakopita, which are spinich and feta filled phyllo dough pies, a generous fillet of halibut topped with feta cheese, (she loves cheese:), and finished with tea and a greek custard ... read more
