Good everything – Kellari has delicious and fresh seafood. The restaurant itself is beautiful and conveniently located near Grand Central Station. I can't think of a bad thing to say about Kellari. I'd definitely go back.
Poor is an understatement..... – A waiter took my order and disappeared. After 20 minutes I called over another person who when I asked where was my waiter they promptly brought me a dessert menu. That was just the beginning but the bottom line is the food is not worth the price. If you are not a New Yorker you will probably think it is wonderful due to the decor and better than average menu. But as a New Yorker I can tell you that there is better in this city and at half the price. After an ok meal, I once again asked where... read more
Very good – Went here with a group of people for lunch. Had the prix-fixe. Good bargain, compared to other nyc restaurants. Everything was very fresh (fish was excellent). Baklava was very good. Satisfying and fulfilling meal. Will go back.
Everything was good.. – If you want good seafood and great drinks this is your place. I eat fish daily and have trouble finding good places in NY. It gives you a romantic dinning. I loved the Sea Bass. Excelent drinks!!! Good service. I can't wait to go back
Beautiful restaurant – As we stepped in the door, a large Greek man sitting at the bar welcomed us in. We must have looked out of place, he said 'Come on in, have a drink!'. This place was gorgeous- beautiful colors, dramatic draperies and fabrics, warm lighting, minimal but modern decor. The service was a little slow, but friendly. The wine list was interesting- a lot of wines I didn't recognize. I don't even remember what I ordered, but my glass was only $8. Not too bad. I'm not sure if I would go back, the menu wasn't eas... read more
One of the best fish place you'll find in New York. Take my word.
Kellari!!! – Kellari is a beautiful restaurant with a convenient midtown location that serves delicious Greek food. The service is very good also. I've been there several times and always enjoy myself.
Very poor value – We've been here a couple of times now and won't be back. First time it was costly but food was ok, last time food was mediocre and therefore way overpriced. Service is friendly but slow and extremely uninformed. No reason to go here.
A great surprise for a real foodie. – It was close to the theatre, sounded good. Was overwhelmed by the food! The pre-theatre menu is such a phenomenal deal. The surprise was the extraordinary food. The grilled calamari, the grilled sardines...over the top. And a whole fish was just unbelievable. On the two recent occasions I ate there, the servers were just so helpful, with a lot of extra attention. All the staff was just wonderful. I plan to eat there many times.
