UPDATE: Two months have passed and this "doctor" is still ignoring me. I might have presumed him dead if he hadn't sent me a bill in the mail, again refusing to bill my insurance despite being my designated PCP for that time period. I only went here because I was having trouble finding a primary care doctor in my network who I could easily reach. I won't be able to keep Dr. Helton as my PCP because he does not properly bill insurance, does not respond to billing disputes, and doesn't even seem to understand what a network is... read more
I only went here because I was having trouble finding a primary care doctor in my network who I could easily reach. I won't be able to keep Dr. Helton as my PCP because he does not properly bill insurance, does not respond to billing disputes, and doesn't even seem to understand what a network is. I'm not sure why Cigna lists him in their network, unless it's to save a buck by billing patients 100%. I think it's more likely negligence than fraud, but the result is the same.
