Dr Donatto explains clearly and in a manner easily understood by laypeople He also has a great sens of humor. He gives different options but doesn’t push for surgery!… pretty impressive for a surgeon!

Staff was very courteous. Dr. Donatto was very knowledgeable and offered short and long term options to address my foot/ankle issue.
One year ago I suffered a full rupture of my Achilles and was referred to Dr Donatto. The operation went smoothly. He is very clear and professional. Dr Donatto and Christine have been responsive and caring throughout. I am now hiking and dancing again. Much thanks.

Dr. Donatto is excellent! I’m so glad I found an ortho who specializes in feet. I needed a procedure to eliminate significant great toe pain. It took time to heal but my results are great. I felt very confident with Dr. Donatto. I also have a clinical background so, my impression is particularly informed.
I am a dual citizen, American/Canadian. My current residence is in Ottawa, Canada. I traveled to San Francisco to have Dr. Donatto operate on my foot. I consulted Dr. Donatto, after years of increasing pain and inability to walk/engage in normal activity. He immediately diagnosed the issues and I immediately scheduled surgery. It required steel pins in toes and a metal plate and screws re: a bunion correction. I wouldn't have gone forward if Dr. D had been less than excellent in every respect-obvious skill (he works with professional ballerinas and athletes), explanations of status, prognosis, answering questions, demonstrating the issues on x-rays.
