During this holiday season, I am reminded how grateful I am for Dr. Donatto’s exceptional care and expertise. I’m long overdue to praise him. I have a history of a right ankle tendon tear that began over 30 years ago. I remember then a friend recommended I see Dr. Donatto, a San Francisco Ballet doctor, but my orthopedic surgeon diagnosed that the tendon could not be repaired. I am sharing my experience with Dr. Keith C. Donatto, whom I have met in the past and I like him very, very much. I trust his judgment, and I appreciate his kind and caring manner. I have just seen him recently to discuss a potential needed surgery...I can say with confidence that Dr. Donatto is a very fine surgeon and a very kind doctor.I would highly recommend him to anyone needing an orthopedic surgeon!
A surgeon that doesn’t want to carve something out of you as soon as he meets you is great! And the fact that he takes the time to explain what is happening and what you should and shouldn’t do makes him an exceptional person AND… he has a great sense of humor ! I have seen this in female surgeons who are usually a lot more considerate but Dr Donatto is the exception to the rule. I would highly recommend him not only for his medical knowledge but for his bedside manner… difficult to find these days ! Kudos!!!

My experience with Dr. Donatto and his staff was wonderful. I received excellent care from first visit through surgery and final recovery. All my questions were answered and procedures were fully explained. Dr. Donatto's positive attitude about my recovery encouraged me and I felt well cared for throughout.
Im extremely happy with my choice of surgeon. Dr Donatto has been very honest about the different stages of my recovery. He’s easy to communicate with. His assistant Axel is beyond helpful. Now I’m just looking forward to healing and getting on with life! It’s a marathon!

Dr. Donatto executes with great efficiency - explaining my condition and options, and then offering very good, direct advice to me regarding my Achilles repair surgery. He put me on a very smooth recovery path, and I’m far enough into my recovery to know that he is an excellent surgeon. I now fully understand that the most important factors in choosing a surgeon are reputation and skill as a surgeon. Everything else is secondary. I strongly recommend him.
