Dr. Donatto repaired my broken ankle. At 74, I was worried about recovery but at 5 months post surgery, I am doing great. Recovery continues but I am close to my pre-injury status. Dr. Donatto and his staff answered all my questions, listened to my concerns and encouraged me through the process.
Warm, compassionate, funny and an excellent physician.He’s worth breaking a bone for. Just kidding. But I wouldn’t consider a different ankle guy for any reason.
Dr. Donatto has been treating me for the last year for a badly broken fibula with a severe ligament sprain. His surgical skill is unmatched. His advice during recuperation was stellar and aided the physical therapy component. I have multiple screws and a plate as well as a 'Tight-rope' device to stabilize my ankle. I'm walking, bicycling and doing all the other activities I was doing before my accident.
Dr.Donatto is an extremely experienced physician with a wealth of knowledge concerning foot and ankle disorders. He will tell you like it is without any fluff and has tremendous experience with surgeries in this area. I would go to him first before anyone else and especially so if you are considering any kind of serious surgery.

Dr Donatto is very thorough and spent a great deal of time with me. He explained everything. He’s very personable and caring.
He listened and explained very clearly what was causing my problem. I took his suggestion to my PCP and he agreed with Dr. Donatto’s medication suggestion and prescribed the medication. I highly recommend Dr. Donatto who I’ve been a patient of since 2010.
Dr. Donatto is very approachable and takes the edge off of a visit to a doctor's office. His explanations are clear and reassuring at the same time. Turns out I don't need surgery but if I did I 'd have no reservation with Dr. Donatto at the helm.
I flew up to see him from So. Orange County based on the recommendations of other physicians familiar with the type of difficulty I am having with my foot,ankle. I was very pleased with his expertise, and conservative approach to my treatment. Most of the other Orthopedic Surgeons I have seen recommended a Major surgery first, he gave me some options, and reserved the surgery for last since it is an extensive one with a very long recovery time.
