Great outdoor seating, nice brew selection on tap and delicious Chili and games on the TVs. What's not to love?
I had a really poor experience. We sat down and it took the waitresses several minutes of bickering before they decided who was responsible for our table. We were asked if we wanted to place a drink order, and I guess because we asked for water, they assumed we weren't worth good service. We had to go get our own menu and eventually our own napkins/tableware from the prep bar. Nice place- breakfast tacos were good. Friendly staff.
I love the atmosphere and place is so convenient to the trail but the service is pretty crappy. I hesitate to determine a place has bad service from one experience but I'm writing now because it happens every time we go and it's getting to the point where I'm not wanting to go back. Basically we get ignored every time we go. Yesterday It was a good 10-15 minutes before we were even greeted and the food runners were the only ones we saw most of the time there. Walked the trail with my dog yesterday and stopped by for lunch. My dog had hip surgery a couple of weeks ago and we were in Dallas for her follow up appointment. She needs lots of exercise (why we were walking the trail) and both needed to eat before we started the 2.5 hour drive back home. We ate outside and she sat on the bench next to me and ate her turkey that I ordered. The staff was great and friendly. BBQ was yummy.
The only regret is that I did not know about this place on the Sunday - this would be a fanatastic venue for a Sunday session. Food - great, atmosphere - chilled and cool. Will definitely make a point to visit on my next trip to Dallas!
I really loved this place at first. A friend of mine came in from out of state and I told her all about it and we walked down the trail just to go and have a drink. We tried to walk in on the trail side, and a guy sitting on a stool at the entrance told us the line was back there, and pointed behind us. It was early in the day, so I asked him "line, for what?" Not the place to watch football in my opinion. They have a schedule for the tv's and it cannot be changed unless you get Congress involved. Terrible management.
Great place with good atmosphere. Always enjoy it there.
