not the best I've been around to many of the NoVA bridal boutiques. Katherine's has a limited collection, which includes some very nice dresses, but I didn't feel at ease there. I arrived on time for my appointment and still had to wait for a trunk show to be over so I can try on dresses. They only have 2 fitting rooms, so you have to wait. I tried on about 5 dresses, 2 of which are from their "private collection". Hilarious, but awful Just went here yesterday and was rather appalled by the whole experience - although it made for some funny stories as my mom and bridesmaid recapped on the day. We actually found my dress there (after being ignored for the first 30 minutes after my appointment "started"). The dresses are packed SO TIGHTLY and all are in their plastic casings, so it's very difficult to browse in the store. save yourself the trouble The attendant I worked with at Katherine's Bridal was just horrendous. Apparently it's the norm to persuade brides-to-be into trying on dresses well out of their price range. Not only did my attendant question the low value of my price range, but she also ignored it, handing me dresses we both knew I couldn't afford. Nice dresses, not too expensive When looking for bridal gowns, my mother and I went to Katherine's. It is a little hard to find because it is set back from the street and there are buildings on either side that are close to the street. I was pleasantly surprised with the bridal shop. Katherine's Bridal Boutique is not a good place for alterations I went to Katherine's to have my wedding dress altered, as the store I bought my dress from had gone out of business. I got the distinct feeling that because my dress did not cost $3000 they didn't care about doing a good job. The hem is crooked, they did not fix the loose beading on the bodice, and they lost the optional straps that came with my dress. Do not go here The ladies who work here are like a pack of wolves. They push you into a dress you don't want, the store and parking lot are crammed full, and they'll sucker you out of every penny you have. They tried to scam my fiance into paying more than she needed to - and they didn't bat an eye about it. Scamming someone who is paying for a wedding is LOW and DIRTY. Katherine's is amazing! I went to Katherine's to look for my wedding dress. I made an appointment on a saturday, and had a very low budget (less than $1500). From the moment i walked in, Kathy and her salespeople were incredibly helpful. Extremely snobby and rude store that happens to have nice dresses I purchased my bridal gown at Katherine's after I had several friends advise me against going there. They happened to carry the brand of dress I was interested in. During the shopping experience, they were nice enough - not sweet by any means, but at least cordial.
