Best Hospital in mid west I have had Aorta replacement on wed and home on Monday the staff is always pleasant but very professional. My husband had same surgery 3 mo before in via Christi and he was in ICU longer than I was for the whole surgery.He has since been in Kansas Medical Center several times and they had him fixed and home in timely manner

One of the worst ERs I've ever been to. Took over 30 minutes just to get seen, with only 1 other person in the waiting room. Waited over 3 hours when I got back there just to be seen by a doctor, all the while being in pain. I ask nurses what take so long, and 2 of them are just standing around at the nurses station while the doctor is typing away on his computer. I do not recommend this hospital to anyone. The extra drive to Wichita would have been worth it.
treating my mother horribly. They forgot to put her IV in, forgot to give her the antibiotics the doc prescribed and won't tell us anything.
I just was released and can not say anything bad about my experience. The nurses and doctors were courteous beyond the extreme. I was in four years ago and could say the same. It is amazing that such a great hospital is this close. I even had student nurses that could not be topped. The grill has great food without being "hospital" food. Nothing but the best.
My step mom is here in the hospital and has been for 2 days now. Yesterday when she was admitted it would be hours before anybody would even check on her. She needed pain medicine and called the nurse several times with no response. So then the family would have to so search for someone to help. After surgery this afternoon she was made to wait for 3 hours in the recovery room cause the staff kept saying they was to busy to move her. My surgery today went great thanks to my Nurse, Jodi from intermediate care area.
Have been there a few times and received exceptional care. Went last night and was in severe pain. Jordan, my nurse is a very caring and compassionate caregiver. This however, due to no fault of Jordan's, the worst visit. I went in with severe pain and laid there for almost two hours to have the Dr. give me a drink of meds and send me out. Hurt like hell all night and still in pain, just not to that level I described in the hospital as a 9.
Everyone is so compassionate. Great staff!
