Worst experience at an emergency room I have ever had. The room I was put in was still dirty and crap all over the floors. And no one seemed to care.

Fabulous hospital and excellent care for husband knee replacement
So disappointed in the nursing staff at Kansas Medical Center. Surgery & Surgeon were great, aftercare was pathetic. Second shift of nurses didn't come in once to say they were there or ask if we needed anything NOTHING for hours. Finally we had to call & ask for help to get up & out of bed. Worst care I have ever seen.
Not impressed with this place at all. Took 2 hours to be seen and they weren't even busy..
Lacks empathy for people/patients! They sure don't make you feel welcome or comfortable. They should give classes on bedside manner and making patients feel welcome and comfortable, especially right before a surgery! Nursing staff lacks compassion, one nurse was a real piece of work and went out of her way to be a total BITCH! I don't understand why Dr Hyder uses that facility!
They were very efficient in the E.R. getting my issues taken,care of. Very fast getting me to a room, doing everything That needed to be done,the food was tasty, the nursing staff were wonderful, an took great care of me.....THANK YOU K.M.C.
I was in Kansas Medical Center 3 times early part of this year, I was very happy with the care that I received there.
Overall a nice place but need more sitting room for family waiting during surgery. Every chair is filled. Others standing in hall creating traffic jam for staff. Uncomfortable.
Hospital staff are incompetent, neglectful. Just about died from bad nursing staff. Four nurses couldn't even put an IV in, and had one that couldn't take blood. They seemed ill prepared at every turn. You couldn't drag me in there ever again. Surgery went great, but nursing staff may be your end. High tech hospital, Neanderthal nursing staff. Be afraid, be very afraid.
