With the freshest fish in town prepared unlike any other, this place is definitely worth the drive down Westheimer. Excellent sushi! Kaneyama japanese is AMAZING! Me and my date shared california rolls, Caterpillar rollers and other types of sushi and we were very pleased! The restaurant is very clean and the service is great! Anytime i crave sushi this is the place i go.

Great Food This restaurant has the freshest fish! I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. The staff is awesome and the service is prompt.
The ramen that they have in here are really tasty and hearty. There are a lot of things in there too, so every penny spent is worth every slurp and gulp.
Good for what it is. Decent price and size meals. The sushi is pretty good (again, especially considering the price). I enjoy the atmosphere and wait staff. Although, another mentioned they aren't the fastest, that's true but they are very friendly and I always go there with the intention of taking my time anyway.
The hamachi kama is super good! Kaneyama is a very nice place, I like their hamachi kama(the appetizer) the most. some other places they have the frozen one which the price the cheaper, but the taste is totally different. Their sushi is always fresh.I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.
BEST SUSHI IN TOWN! My whole family loves this place. Yes, the service may be a little slow, but it's worth the wait. Our recommendations are: Chawa Mushi, Asari Miso soup, Octopus Sunomono for appetizers. Nemo Roll, Snowman Roll, Hanabi Roll And maybe some pcs of the fresh sashimi!! Yummy!!! I can't wait to eat there!!!
I go to Kaneyama at least once a week and finally found the time to write a review. My favorite thing on the menu is Sansai Tofu, Tuna Tartar, and the Ramen. staff are so nice. Highly Recommed!!
