too big for their britches They are hawking jewelry with too much attitude by the salespeople. They prices have gone sky high in the last five years and they have tried to cater to a different clientel and I guess they don't remember the people that helped them build their business. The repair shop used to be reasonable and helpful. Not so much these days. Oh well, another neighborhood shop that succumbed to the theory that the customer no longer counts.
They gave me my heart My husband designed my engagement ring himself. He took his design into Kaminski's and they created the perfect ring. My husband had designed a yellow gold setting with a heart diamond and two small amethyst on either side of the diamond. If it were not for Kaminski's my husband could not have given me my beautiful engagement ring!! We also bought our wedding bands at Kaminski. We loved the whole Kaminski experience!!
Sweet experience My fiance gave me a budget and told me that i could pick out my own engagement ring. Kaminski was the second jewelry store I went to. I saw a ring I loved for a reasonable price but I felt like I should really look around. I went to around twenty different stores over three weeks and couldn't find anything that matched the ring at Kaminski's for the quality and the price. Dont go there I took my movado watch to replace a battery. Kamininski's called me a week later and told me it was not the battery but needed a cleaning. Never heard from them until a month later to find out that the jeweler broke the case and was waiting for Movado to send replacement. Finally I had to get an attorney to write them a demand letter and I got my watch three months later. Kaminski put a blue glass on a white mother of pearl face and replaced my sapphire stem with a flat stem. They destroyed it. Don't go there. ... read more
Buyer beware I purchased a pendant as a valentines day gift for my wife and was concerned that the chain would not fit. I asked the clerk several times if I could bring the item back and get a larger chain and was told it would be no problem. The chain was too short and when we went back to the store we where told (by the same cerk I purchased from) that that chain was a promotional chain and that we could buy a longer one for $75.00 and would have to pay that anywhere. She was very dismissive, I will never shop there again.
Horrible watch repair My family lives near Kaminski's so we have shopped there a few times with no problems. I recently took my watch there to have it repaired, however, and I will not be returning. I was given my watch five or six years ago and wore it every day with no problems. Last summer, though, I slammed my arm against a table and cracked it (yeah, unfortunate in more than one way) but it remained watertight, so I kept wearing it. Wonderful Store I love Kaminski's. They have the most courteous sales staff and the prices are much cheaper then the mall stores. I went in with a picture of the style of ring I wanted and they made it in a week using my diamonds and it is perfect. I would recommend them to everyone. Great Jewelers!
have visited twice I live in the area and twice I went into the store, looking for diamond ear rings and twice I got the same rude, dismissive sales clerk. Appeared to be an unhappy employee. I took my $3500.00 dollars and spent elsewhere. I have since heard that they are known in the community to not have the high business scruples so glad I gave my business and money to another local store.
DO NOT SHOP HERE OR HAVE THINGS REPAIRED HERE!!! CROOKS!! My husband took his year old Seiko chronograph watch to Kaminski to be fixed. They fixed what was broken, but the repairman broke a different part of the watch. They had the watch for close to two months, they didn't let us know what was going on with it. We called several times and got the run around. They finally said that they couldn't fix the watch bc they couldn't get the part. They refunded me the $35 for the original fix. Big deal!!
