I have tried most of them and none come close to my Kahtoola's !
Kahtoola Microspikes work well for late winter/early spring hiking when trails get icy. The best money I spent on outdoor equipment all summer. A must have for those of us who love solo hiking. Kept me from slipping and falling on a trail I have fallen on at least twice before I used the microspikes. Lightweight for backpacking too when you want to leave them in your pack for emergency back up.
I rely heavily on my micro-spikes while ice fishing and while navigating shelf ice when chasing spring steelhead and browns. A great durable product that I wouldn't be without.

I can't imagine hiking in winter without Kahtoola MicroSpikes. When the snow on the trail gets mashed into an icy slick, I slip them on and I can continue on with no slippage or other issues. Six years and still going strong!
