This comment is about the new black rubber micro spikes. THEY SUCK!! I just returned a pair that I bought one month ago at REI. The rubber already tore. My red ones lasted 4 YEARS!!! It is time to go BACK to the original manufacturer and bring back the HIGH QUALITY red ones. According to REI, THIS HAS BEEN A HUGE PROBLEM WITH THE NEW BLACK ONES AND CAN EXPECT THIS TO BE AN ONGOING ISSUE.

The best on the market hands down. I've tried them all.
I am impressed with the MicroSpikes. I have size 14 Baffin Pac Boots and the XL's fit just fine. Twice this year the snow has melted with warm temps and rain, making the ice on the lakes impossible to walk on without traction. Ice falls hurt and usually break whatever it was you were carrying at the time. Highly recommended!
