The MicroSpikes have been invaluable this winter...we hike with dogs nearly every day,in mountains, and often are on packed snow, glazed snow, or ice. Have used the spikes more than snowshoes, actually! I did note that in very soft snow (at 47 degrees), there was some clumping under the cleats...not an uncommon problem, and pole taps solved the issue. I have convinced quite a few hiking companions to invest in them!

Awesome cold weather hiking accessory. Quick to put on with no gimmicky additions. Traction was amazing. Great for those days you don't want to wear big boots and crampons or snowshoes.
The Microspikes are the best traction device on the market! They stay on your feet so you never lose them and the customer service is great! I recommend them to my fellow SAR members, hiker friends and my coworkers ALL the time!
Kahtoola continues to be such a great community partner here in Flagstaff with their support of Camp Colton with the Agassiz Uphill - it's a great event every year. Really makes ya proud and happy to live in Flag! Staff here are great folks and a joy to interact with! Love the micro spikes for hiking in the canyon in the winter too, easy to take on and off. Last summer I hiked my first glacier with my first pair of microspikes!!! I looked like a pro. People were asking me about them and I, of course, told them how GREAT they are. Yeah couldn't have made it to the top with anything that starts with yak....
Great product to wear in packed snow or ice. Definitely easy to put on and are durable.

I've been using my MicroSpikes for 4 years in the Wasatch Mountains on ice and snow....and in mud. There has never been a better traction device I've ever used and yet these gear designer geeks have improved them even more with the newest generation of MicroSpikes. I love my MicroSpikes! I wish Kahtoola made equally awesome "spikes" for my Subaru.
