Average food, very high prices – First time going to Kabuki. I placed a to go order. 2 California rolls, 2 Spider rolls (4-5 pieces) and 2 Tempura rolls (4-5 pieces per roll). Made the mistake of not asking for total. Got there and was handed a $50 bill. Basically, I got 16 pieces of California roll, 8 pieces of Spider roll, and 8 pieces of Tempura roll, so basically 4 rolls and California rolls were like 5 bucks. I asked to look over the bill and said I thought the rolls were very pricey. The pricing is confusing and I didn... read more

Great Food But View Your Bill Carefully. – I enjoy the food at Kabuki. I think the showmenship of all the chefs are excellent. I do however always have to debate over my bill when I go. They are determined to get a tip. I don't care if there are 2, 3, 4 or whatever number in my party, they always inflate the party size on the bills and add a tip automatically. I've never known a resturant to add a tip on the bill if the part size is 5 or less and I eat out quite a bit and consider myself a generous tipper. On another website... read more

Great Hibachi! – We ate there on Friday, the 9th of February. It was my mom, my 3 year old, and myself. The food was awesome! I loved it, everythign was so yummy. I got steak and chicken. It came with soup, salad, zuchini, onions, noodles, and fried rice. The chef even fried an egg for my son extra on the side. I would say that I got plenty of food, but they were stingy with the zuchini. The service was also pretty slow, we were there for 2 hours. But the food was yummy and I would go back!

Absolutely Awful, Run Away, Run Away! – We knew we were in trouble when we were seated in the back room, where it was cold (apparently the back door to the kitchen was open with 25 degrees outside); and, when the chef came, it was obvious he was not interested in cooking .. either that, or he didn't know how. He may have done his best on a night with more business than chefs, but we were actually worried about his being put in a position to cook when he either didn't want to or didn't know how. We didn't care that we didn't ... read more

Avoid at all costs – I ordered take out from Kabuki. After ordering I was not told what the total amount would be. When my food was ready and went to paid for my food, I noticed a charge on the bill for gratuity, which added about $5.00 onto my bill. I was told gratuity was automatically added on for take out orders for the sushi chef and they even pointed to it in the menu. Where this mentioned it in the menu it was so small you would need a magnifying glass to read it. I don't like being charged and not having a choice in ... read more

Dinner and a show at this fun Japanese steakhouse. – In Short The restaurant is enormous and labrinthine, with 18 tables in four dining rooms, and the feel is a formal, softly lit elegance that comes off like a stage production on opening night. The expert tossing of knives and vegetables will shock and amaze anyone who has never witnessed this cuisine in preparation. Order anything from shrimp and scallops to chicken and filet mignon, or stick with sushi.

AWESOME Sushi – The sushi was wonderful, and the chef was very personable. It is a great place to go if you havent been to a sushi restaurant before. The chef will happily answer questions about things you may not understand. The prices were a little bit higher, but I feel it is worth it for the specialty rolls that they have and the expert seasoned chef who prepares them. I wish this place got more credit for their sushi and would get rid of the steakhouse aspect. Support your local mom and pop restaurants, and support your... read more

Poor Service before I even stepped in the door – I called to see about having a dinner there for my husbands 40th birthday. We wanted get a private room and have around 40 friends or so. The lady on the phone did not initially understand what I was asking her. I explained a few times what I was looking for. Then when I asked if they had any types of specials for large groups she said no. Nothing special for large groups she said. When I told her that we were looking to do it the 1st Sat in March, she said "Oh- Saturdays are ... read more
