Dr Rao is extremely rude and my young adult son and I were shaking when we left the appointment. She doesn't listen to anything that is being said or look at paperwork from other doctors. She orders tests and doesn't explain anything. She yells at you instead of talking to you. After my son's endoscopy she said he needed surgery then said she never said that. Stay far away!

The appt went ok, it was after the office visit is when I started having problem. It was very difficult to get Rao's staff on the phone. I left messages and no one called back. I had labs and was hoping to get results. No one ever called about the labs, even after I left messages. I friend suggested I try their pt portal. So after 3 more calls, I was finally able to log in and view the results. But without a medical person saying they are ok, it was a let down. I will not be going back.
I found her to be uncommunicative and non-flexible about a procedure she wanted me to have (which I didn't particularly object to the procedure, just the timing. The staff was nice enough. The wait time was very long when there were only two patients besides myself and none were being seen.
Let's start with positive. After multiple visits and a colonoscopy, my condition was properly diagnosed and cured with medicine. Now, not so positive. Dr. Rao shouted at both me and her staff, said completely unprofessional things, and lied about not sending the wrong medicine orders to the pharmacy. (How else did they get there?) Would I recommend her? Absolutely not. I would have given the likelihood of that happening zero stars, if I could.
I had a stat. EGD done. Dr Rao is wonderful
