GREAT! She was friendly and found the root of my concern. She is very thorough and will run tests to find out what is going on. Thank you Dr Rao!! The staff was awesome. Even though I was still not feeling well, they made me smile and we even had a few laughs. Thank you to her MA, who scheduled my appointments and made sure I knew where to go for labs and other tests. Front desk was good, too. Thank you to her whole staff. I waited for 45 minutes then to be seen by a closed minded Dr Rao. Few minutes into out conversation I got up and walked out and told her this is clear that this would not be a good fit.
The whole entire staff was rude. The first encounter of the receptionist was rude. Dr Rao has the worst bedside manners I have ever encountered with a MD. She was rude from her introduction. She did not listen to any of my concerns and dismissed all of my questions as if it was irrelevant. I would not recommend her nor did I schedule a follow. She spoke to me in the most degrading manner.
I did 3 bandings with Dr. Rao. She left immediately after each one so I could never really ask her questions. This last one was the final straw. I waited about 3 months for the last banding because I was NEVER told when to come back. I explained that to her but she wasn’t hearing it! I even confirmed with her staff, since she was so adamant about them presetting my “nonexistent” appointments! They confirmed that I never had any scheduled appointments! She doesn’t care about her parents, she only cares about sending you to do more unnecessary tests.
She treats her patients as children, scolding them when her office is the one that does not have the patient information ready. She is right and you are wrong. She has no patience and is in and out in 3 minutes tops.
After my first visit with Dr. Rao, I had loads of tests scheduled, but she never examined me and she had asked few questions about my chief complaint. She seemed much more interested in berating me for having changed doctors previously. Bottom line: Dr. Rao is not interested in the human being attached to the GI tract in front of her.
She had a bad attitude as soon as she walked in. Wouldn’t listen to me while I was attempting to explain my ailment. Very hard to communicate with as she kept cutting me off while I was trying to talk. She was argumentative with the suggestive symptoms i presented to her, and referred to me as sensitive when she couldn’t figure out what was wrong. All around bad visit and will not be returning. Wouldn’t suggest anyone visit.
