the employees at joyce leslie are unprofessional, inconsiderate, rude, obnoxious and that's to say the least. after spending an hour in the store, they wouldn't let my four year old son in the dressing room with me!! on another occasion, they asked me to leave the store when i was trying to return something but couldn't with their idiotic policy. oh and don't forget about signing your card with the pencil! cause that really makes it legit ! stupid people. that's why they work at a low paying, going nowhere job!

I have been at that store about 3 times in the past week and everytime i went the employee's there were very unprofessional, disrespectful, rude, foul mouthed, and lazy workers i have ever witnessed... One of the workers said the f word 3 times with in 5 minutes and did not even care that there were customers around.. If i could rate no star's for this store i would but it only gives you the option to pick 1 threw 5... I highly suggest to never step foot in that ghetto store for the simple fact of the employee's there

I went to buy an emergancy outfit for a family gathering in the Hawly Lane store in Trumbull, CT and brought my brother along with me. I went to try on 2 dresses. The employee who was working in the fitting room was in and out the fitting room. She was rude and was very unprofessional with the customers. She even yelled at 2 customers. The manager didnt even care when they complained. I had never witnessed such poor business management and customer service.

I don't expect anything in the way of customer service here-they hire disgruntled incompetents who can't do anything else.At the register for about 10 min I finally got rung.I handed my CC to the cashier who handed me a pencil and said you need to sign your card.I handed her my license. She repeated I needed to sign my card.I looked at her and said-"with a pencil?does that make sense?"She shrugged and begrudgingly handed me a pen.I then wrote-please check id on the back of card(all of my cards say this so the cashier will che... read more

Joyce Leslie Inc. in Port Ewen, New York practices hiring discrimination tactics and abuses the existing employees. Manager Michelle has been seen screaming at other employees in front of customers. Employees are not allowed lunches or breaks. Having just returned from a family vacation I am appalled at what I saw take place in that store. I thought this was America not a sweat shop in Taiwan? Needless to say I did not make the purchases I wanted and will NEVER shop in any Joyce Leslie Inc. establishment.

I am a physician. One of my patients whom has an implantable medical device was recently asked to leave a Joyce Leslie store for setting off their security device. She was also asked never to shop there again. The patient attempted to contact corporate whom had the same reply. We have been told their policy is not to let anyone shop in their stores that set off alarms, so if you have any metal in your body or pacemakers you will be discriminated against.

The issues that these posters had with their local Joyce Leslie store seems to be par for the company. I purchased two articles of clothing for my daughter from the store in Middletown, NY. I wanted to exchange the one top because it was defective (one arm hole was twice the size of the other). I had the ticket on the garment but couldn't find the sales receipt. All I wanted was to replace the garment for one that was constructed properly. They refused to do anything without the receipt. I wanted to exchange the second garme... read more

I visited the Joyce Leslie in Old Bridge NJ. I spent good money on clothes for my daughter. Little Miss Prissy does not like to try clothes on in stores, no privacy. To my surprise the clothes did not fit. Here's the problem now....I don't have a receipt and I too can provide a proof of purchase using my monthly statement. Now I can't get rid of the clothes. I can't exchange for larger size either. Spread the Word Ladies...BOYCOTT JOYCE LESLIE"S RETURN POLICY. I too will not spend a penny in this store. Fool me once shame on... read more
