I've been using Dr. Chastain and Melissa Cannon a few years now. Both of them and the staff are very professional and take time to explain things and care about their patients!! Makes Dr visits pleasant!!

Called in June and was told they were taking new patients. My appointment was booked for several months out. A few days before the appointment, after waiting all that time, they randomly decided they weren’t taking new patients after all and weren’t going to honor what they told me. They chose to just cancel my appointment. I was supposed to speak to the office manager but kept getting transferred from line to line and no one would speak. I have seen Dr.Joy and Melissa for YEARS and so has my entire family. I have NEVER had a problem with the receptionists or the nurses. They are the kindest group of women I have ever met. My daughter almost passed out after her appointment this week and the receptionists CAUGHT her before she fell. She was so embarrassed but they made her feel so much better by making jokes with her and calming her down!!! I have been a patient of Melissa for years now and love her!!!!!! The office staff on the other hand has some tact issues that need to be resolved. Katie, maybe you need to re-evaluate the way your speaking to customers especially when there are other customers standing right behind. I don’t know about you but I HATE to be accused of falsehoods. I've seen Dr Chastain and her PA for years for various skin ailments I've had. The whole staff has always been very welcoming and take as much time as I need to explain my problem and how to follow up with care after the procedure. They explain things in terms I can understand.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Chastain and Melissa’s for many years now. I feel like I get the utmost care at the office. Scheduling or wait times have never been an issue here, and both providers have amazing and knowledgeable nurses! I always feel well taken care of when I leave her office. I’ve recommended her to many of my other family and friends and they agree completely. You will not find another dermatologist better than Dr Chastain’s office in Athens!

I have seen both Dr. Chastain and her PA for my acne. I have seen great results over the past few months, and I am finally happy with my skin! I highly recommend their office.

I am and have always loved this office. They are truly a team and the effort they give into making sure I have gotten my prescriptions and necessary treatment is beyond appreciated. I too have worked in the medical field and I realize that it takes time and effort to work with the pharmacy and insurance. I have seen both Dr. Chastain and her P.A. Melissa Cannon, and because they're so thorough and well-rounded, I haven't had to see the primary care in a couple of years.

Dr. Chastain's office is horrible about following up on your medication and that you are getting it. Dr. Chastain is also notorious for passing you off to her PA who is not good about answering your questions and tries to be in and out of your visit in less than 5 minutes. This office has poor customer service all the way around and I will be looking elsewhere for a dermatologist.
