After years and many many tests. Lots of dismissals from many Dr's. I saw Dr Alpers. He was able to figure out what was wrong without completely dismissing me. He truly has been a blessing to me. He answers my questions and is very upfront and I appreciate that so much. I truly appreciate him and so glad I have him in my journey with my health issues.
I haven’t even seen this doctor yet and I am not happy. I was referred by a different neurologist more than a month ago, yet have never been called for an appointment. When I called the office of the referring neurologist to make sure they had sent the referral, I was told they had but Dr Alpers’ office was just too busy to call me and set up an appointment! I can’t believe no one can call and schedule me. If it’s so difficult to even get a phone call I dread to see how long I will have to wait and see the doctor.
The one trustworthy neuromuscular disease physician. After failing to get a diagnosis with other doctors, I was sent to Vanderbilt where I was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. I then was having to go in the hospital every few months in crisis. Dr. Alpers changed my treatment, and I haven't been in the hospital but once, with the flu. He's thorough, honest, and caring.
Very nice, a good exam took his time, asked my questions. Been to one other neuro doctor before with a half hearted exam and not good with telling me what to expect. Alpers was excellent!
My complaint was numbness in my feet and groin. He diagnosed me with carpel tunnel syndrome in my forearms. The exam was rushed because he needed to be somewhere else.
Fastest examination I have ever received from any Ddoctor I have been triage on a battlefield in Iraq and it took longer that Dr Alpers exam. He diagnosed me with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. My complaint was chronic headache.
Business response:
Your provider referred you for electrodiagnostic testing to evaluate for carpal tunnel syndrome. I am a neuromuscular specialist and do not treat headache; I apologize for the misunderstanding. Please ask your provider to refer you to a general Neurologist. If you have concerns regarding the diagnostic procedure performed to evaluate for carpal tunnel syndrome, please contact our office in order to help improve the experience for future patients!
He was the most thorough neurologist I had ever experienced! I would highly recommend him!
