I love this place, our waitress was good the food was good, the steak was cooked good it was juicy it just needed some seasoning, I think with some seasoning it would have been great. But I will definitely go back.

We were here for the weekend...we wanted something off the tourist area. Absolutely amazing steak. And the house cut fries. Omg. Were so good!!!

Beer was ice cold and served with a chilled glass. Steak was cooked just right and the cilantro/lime sauce is a great add on.

We walked in, sat down, and was greeted by a very sweet server. The spinach dip was so delicious. I wished I ordered a 2nd one. The El Rey was beyond amazing. I didn't really know what to expect. Our drinks were always filled and we really enjoyed ourselves. We chatted up with our server and she told us that the restaurant is connected with Gruene Hall and Gristmill. No wonder. Great restaurant, Great service, and great food.
