Dr. Masessa has treated for me for many skin cancers.. All have healed nicely.
I felt like the team was only working on me
I found my experience with the radiation tech to be very pleasant and informative. Each time he explained the procedure to me. The follow up with the NP was very thorough. The front desk has always been patient and helpful.
As previous staff of his office in NJ, I can confidently tell patients to STAY AWAY! I have seen him abuse his staff, both verbally and physically, and have witnessed overly aggressive surgical procedures for nevi that were only mildly atypical, followed by telling the patients that's they have melanoma or "pre-melanoma". He orders the staff to give patients Valium and to blind fold them prior to his entering the room which makes them very uneasy. Unfortunately, he is still in practice.
Did not call me regarding my results concerning Dysplastic Nevus. After biopsy found out 1 month later.
Have now had 4 appointments since April and they never addressed the initial issue I came in for. Cannot get results without an appointment - 4-6 weeks after biopsy! I was told I needed another full body screen at last appt, no record of it for upcoming appointment. Did not follow up on several things we discussed, I had to bring up repeatedly. The one time I saw Dr. Masessa he assumed we had decided on a course of action which I wanted to discuss with him - he told me he was very busy. Avoid.
You will not find a better doctor on this site a Florida. He and his crew are amazing. Love them
I have never met this doctor in the 5 years I am going to them. Always a PA, and ALWAYS a re-taking sample of the damaged area. Can never receive a review of services / recap of diagnosed area without paying for a follow-up visit. After 2 visits I had to demand my records.
