I recently underwent a radical prostatectomy for my prostate cancer with Dr. Jamal 2 months ago. At first I was a little skeptical, but now, I am very satisfied with my end result. Dr. Jamal did an excellent job explaining the process before I underwent the surgery. The surgery itself went perfectly. 2 month post op, and I am now cancer free and feeling better than ever! I highly recommend Dr. Jamal if you are having prostate problems or even cancer like I once did!

Dr Jamal had conversation with me as if he were advising a friend. Outstanding job explaining condition, offering options with the pros and cons of each. An excellent surgeon. I am feeling great 2 weeks after my prostatectomy with no pain and very little discomfort and minimal side effects. Great doctor that I can only say good things about. If it wasn't for Dr. Jamal, I would still have a 15cm cyst in my kidney that was causing me discomfort and pain. Dr. Jamal was able to remove this cyst, and I feel like a completely different person! I no longer have the extreme discomfort that I was in prior. He's very professional, thorough, caring and listens well to my issues and concerns. He helped me through the whole process and re-assured me from the beginning! I even live an hour away, and seeing him is worth it! Highly recommend him!

My husband was very nervous when to started to have blood in his urine . Dr Jamal was recommended to us : From the first time we met him, we felt great because he not only listened but he was understanding of my husbands fears and took the time to explain everything in a clear manner. My husband who is not a fan of doctors decided that even though Dr Jamal was 40 minutes from our house, this is the doctor he wanted to help him. I recently got a tumor removed from my kidney by Dr. Jamal. After finding out about this tumor and being so stressed out, I was referred to Dr. Jamal. He made me feel very confident, was reassuring and very professional. I never considered going for a second opinion, because I felt very secure with him. In addition, I was very intrigued about the robotic surgery. I am very grateful with all the services received by Dr. Jamal and his staff!

When we found out my husband had a cancerous tumor in his stronger functioning kidney we were devastated. We consulted with Dr Jamal, discussed the surgical options, both the best / worse scenarios, in detailed simple terms and felt comfortable in his care. Dr Jamal performed a partial nephrectomy saving the kidney and prevented the need for dialysis. We are extremely grateful to Dr Jamal, to the Surgical and Nursing staff at Winthrop Hospital. Dr. Jamal is very empathetic and understanding of my personal situation. He did a lot of explaining and was consulted with my one daughter who is also a doctor. Dr. Jamal spent a lot of time on the phone with me as well as seeing me in his office. Overall, Dr. Jamal is very easy to talk to. He is not abrupt and listens well to what I have to say. I would highly recommend him for anyone with any urological issue!
Dr. Jamal was highly recommended to me after I found out that I had prostate cancer. He was very good at explaining my situation and made sure I was aware of all options available to treat my cancer. After meeting with several other doctors, I chose to proceed with Dr. Jamal in removing my prostate. The outcome exceeded all expectation which includes the fact that I don't leak from day 1, and no E.D. I am now 8 weeks out and my PSA is undetectable! I would recommend him!
