My husband was very nervous when to started to have blood in his urine . Dr Jamal was recommended to us : From the first time we met him, we felt great because he not only listened but he was understanding of my husbands fears and took the time to explain everything in a clear manner. My husband who is not a fan of doctors decided that even though Dr Jamal was 40 minutes from our house, this is the doctor he wanted to help him. Dr Jamal has since done the procedure and we are grateful. God bless

I recently got a tumor removed from my kidney by Dr. Jamal. After finding out about this tumor and being so stressed out, I was referred to Dr. Jamal. He made me feel very confident, was reassuring and very professional. I never considered going for a second opinion, because I felt very secure with him. In addition, I was very intrigued about the robotic surgery. I am very grateful with all the services received by Dr. Jamal and his staff!

When we found out my husband had a cancerous tumor in his stronger functioning kidney we were devastated. We consulted with Dr Jamal, discussed the surgical options, both the best / worse scenarios, in detailed simple terms and felt comfortable in his care. Dr Jamal performed a partial nephrectomy saving the kidney and prevented the need for dialysis. We are extremely grateful to Dr Jamal, to the Surgical and Nursing staff at Winthrop Hospital. Dr. Joseph Jamal is a great urologist and surgeon. He saved my life guided by gods hands and I am eternally grateful. His level of care and concern for his patients is remarkably outstanding. Thank you and God Bless you Dr. Jamal.
Dr. Jamal is very empathetic and understanding of my personal situation. He did a lot of explaining and was consulted with my one daughter who is also a doctor. Dr. Jamal spent a lot of time on the phone with me as well as seeing me in his office. Overall, Dr. Jamal is very easy to talk to. He is not abrupt and listens well to what I have to say. I would highly recommend him for anyone with any urological issue!
Dr. Jamal was highly recommended to me after I found out that I had prostate cancer. He was very good at explaining my situation and made sure I was aware of all options available to treat my cancer. After meeting with several other doctors, I chose to proceed with Dr. Jamal in removing my prostate. The outcome exceeded all expectation which includes the fact that I don't leak from day 1, and no E.D. I am now 8 weeks out and my PSA is undetectable! I would recommend him!
I was very shocked to have found out that I have prostate cancer since I already have bladder cancer. It was a real blow, and I needed somebody who understood what I was going through. I couldn't have picked a better more knowledgeable, experienced, friendly and component doctor like Dr. Jamal. He did really well in the pre-care, operation and after care. I would say to anyone out there that's looking for a good doctor and human being to work on them and for them, he's the guy to see!
I had kidney stones removed by Dr. Jamal. He made me feel so comfortable and explained my condition very well so I could understand what was going on. He is excellent with my post-op follow up and making sure I feel my best. I am 2 months post-op, and I feel awesome all thanks to Dr. Jamal's expertise! The staff and office is excellent as well, and I highly recommend him!
Dr. Jamal took out 6 tumors on my left kidney and found 2 tumors on my right kidney, and I don't know if any doctor could have done what he did! I feel better now than I ever did before even after such a long and complicated surgery. He is an excellent and professional doctor who saved my life! Even after my surgery, he continues to check up on me and is very cautious. Dr. Jamal is so down to earth, and I am so glad to have met him!
