Personable, competent and quite experienced in what he does-robotic assisted radical prostatectomy. Despite having a fairly major surgical procedure, I can honestly say there was very little pain or discomfort in the days & weeks after the procedure. The only rating (below) that was less than excellent (very good) referred to ease of scheduling appointments, and is not reflective of difficulty, but rather the volume of patients and procedures-a reflection I feel of his competence and experience.

Was referred to Dr. Joseph Jamal when I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer. He explained to my wife and I all the options available to us. When we decided to go with surgery, he explained the procedure with all the possible good and bad. Date was set thru his attentive staff. They walked me thru all my medical clearances. Dr. Jamal performed laparoscopic prostate removal. I was home by the next evening walking around looking forward to getting on with my life. I would Highly recommend Dr Jamal

He is the least professional Dr I've ever went to He overlooks so bad you have at least 1.5 hour wait It takes him 3 or more days to get back to you He says you may need surgery when you don't I would be very cautious seeking his opinion

Dr.Jamal performed a robotic prostatectomy on me on May 2nd 2017 His knowledge of prostate cancer was absolutely phenomenal The surgery was very successful I had very little pain I went home the following day and have almost no side effects I'm cancer free and could never thank this fine man enough

Dr. Jamal did a partial nephrectomy on my husband to remove kidney cancer. He counseled my husband and I thoroughly beforehand, the day of, and after the procedure. His manner was professional and kind. He was careful and thorough, always erring on the side of caution, and did an excellent job. My husband is healing well post-op and Dr. Jamal has laid out the plan for my husband's health to be monitored going forward. I cannot express enough our satisfaction with Dr. Jamal.

It was a busy day at the office, had to wait over an hour to be seen by Dr. Jamal. When I met with him, felt his tone was condescending when I asked him questions. I was very disappointed to be treated in that manner.

Dr. Jamal is wonderful! He operated on my dad to remove a malignant tumor from his kidney. At the first visit, he spent a lot of time with us - explaining the CT scan, describing the surgery, and possible outcomes. During surgery, he called me midway through to say they found a second tumor & how he wanted to handle it. He was able to remove only the tumors & save most of the kidney. Afterward, he personally escorted my sister & me into the recovery room. We highly recommend Dr. Jamal!!

Performed laparoscopic radical prostatectomy on me and it went perfectly. All functions back to normal within 2 weeks. Dr. Jamal was very thorough in his explanation of the procedure and very patient in addressing all of my questions. I was able to get him on the phone personally when I had some post-op questions. In general, he is an extremely competent doctor with a friendly and likeable demeanor. Highly Recommended.

I was referred to Dr. Jamal by my urologist since he is a highly regarded specialist and surgeon. He did prostate surgery on me and could not have been more compassionate, professional, and all-around excellent. He took the time to explain everything himself, and everything he said came true. I'm now 6 months out from surgery, cancer free, and everything works great! Thanks Doc!
