My daughter in law was diagnosed with colon cancer. Through a family member in Charleston, SC we knew about Dr Jorge Lagares and were able to learn about his extensive experience and excellent port-operative results. Dr Lagares is truly remarkable. His skill, his demeanor , his staff....first class in everyway. This doctor saved my life, and still allowed me to be me...answered the toughest questions with class and dignity, followed by his confidence..not cockiness. Truly a marvel in his field.
Hands down one of the Best surgeons out there. He is very knowledgeable and spends time explaining things. He has the best bedside manner. Would recommend him to absolutely anyone.

Dr. Lagares saved my 90 yo Mother's life. She had a very complicated problem that he swiftly fixed with minimally invasive robotic surgery. She has had a rapid recovery. He is the best colorectal surgeon in the nation and probably the world. He has the hands of God. His bedside manner puts you at ease. He loves dogs as do I. You can always trust a dog person. I am sure that he will have a special place in heaven.

Dr. Lagares recently performed reversal colostomy surgery on me and did an excellent job. After having emergency surgery to remove a section of my colon due to diverticulitis I ended up wearing a colostomy bag for 5 months. Being told the surgery was difficult and messy, I was worried I may not be a candidate for reversal surgery. After speaking with Dr. Lagares and have a colonoscopy I was informed he would be able to do the surgery. Many thanks to Dr Legares-Garcia for not only explaining his approach to my condition with great expertise and knowledge, but for making me feel comfortable about my surgery. In the last month I’ve taken both my brother and sister in law to appointments with Dr. Legares. Both were consultations regarding their prior issues that could possibly still be problematic. He is conservative in his approach and he thoroughly explains options and his opinion on what he recommends. We highly recommend him!!!
