Today I was blessed to witness a beautiful act of kindness. One of my sweet students did not have a costume and wanted to be Marshall the Fire Dog from Paw Patrol. Jefferson jumped into action to get everything he would need—but one thing was missing: a fire hat. The Joplin Fire Department (Engine 1) came to the rescue. Thank u so much to the kindhearted fire fighters who worked the fire at 16 and Virginia yesterday one bought my bird cage out for me and a couple looked for our cat pepper and worked hard so the fire didnt destroy my home I think if I would have lost any more of my babies they would have put me in the hospital fur or human I was frozen in middle of living room I had Malaki, bella, Socks and my purse and phone I froze cause I did have enough hands to gave the box with Zohan's ashes and my bird cage with my parakeets I moved c... read more
They are there, 24/7. Always ready to help.
4 of the most polite, caring men came to my home and helped me with my smoke detectors (chirping), they fixed my front door, they were patient, kind, and did FAR MORE than what I would have ever imagined! These men deserve a salute, a handshake, and a THANK YOU for what they do. I will never forget their caring manner. Love them all! And....Thank You, again, for all your service!
Members of JFD sat with me during a chemo treatment for breast cancer awareness month. Then they brought their ladder truck to my house so my four-year-old son could have a special treat. They are a super group of very classy men and women.
The fire alarms went off at an apartment complex I was visiting today. The firemen were amazing! They gave the children coloring books and hats. They even let them see in the truck! What an amazing way to ease the minds of children!!! Well done JFD!
Day in and day out.....putting the people of Joplin first. Nothing else needs to be said. They risk their lives for the lives of their neighbors. They are all heroes.
