Dr. Garino and staff were great getting me in office and scheduling surgery. Would definitely recommed him.
TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN THE MRI AND PROVIDED ME WITH SEVERAL OPTIONS AND A WRITTEN NOTE TO REVIEW MY WIFE. LET US THINK IT OVER A WEEK AND THEN MET AGAIN. AGREED WITH THE NEXT PROCEDURE. PROCEDURE SCHEDULKED PROMTLY WITH ALL INFORMATION REVIEWED AND APPOINTMENT SET UP BEFORE LEAVING THE OFFICE. OPEERATION WENT VERY WELL AND NO PAIN. SURGERY 13 DAYS AGO.
Dr. Garino replaced my left hip two (2) years ago. See my previous review from April 2016. Here is an update. I spent two weeks skiing with my family in Lake Tahoe over Christmas (2017) and spent another week at Breckenridge skiing for another week (skiing on average four hours per day)! I could NEVER have dreamed of this two years ago when I could hardly walk before my surgery. Dr. Garino did a fantastic job on my left hip. I whole heartedly recommend Dr. Garino and his surgical team.
I went to see Dr. Garino on a Friday for knee pain from many years of running. He told me based on my symptoms it was almost certainly a torn meniscus and if so he could fix it and I'd be running again in two weeks. I had the MRI the next day which confirmed the tear, the surgery the following Thursday in the Exton surgical center, and two weeks later I was running pain free. Nothing like a man of his word!
I can't see how anyone could give Dr. Garino anything less than 5 stars ... he is an AMAZING orthopedic surgeon and person. He and his staff were wonderful to me throughout the entire process of preparing for, recovering from and moving on from having knee surgery. My recovery time was incredibly minimal, I hardly had any pain and the entire experience was excellent. If you need knee surgery, do not go anywhere else but Premier and ask for Dr. Garino!!!
Dr garino is the best doctor I have met. He was up front and honest with my situations. We together determined a plan of action that started out may 8th with left hip right knee total replacement. The operations booth done on the same time went flawlessly. Dr garino and his support staff went above and beyond any expectation I had. I have 2 procedures left and have full faith in Dr. Garino and his staff.
Had one appointment with Dr Guarino for myself to discuss diagnosis of my knees. He seemed kind of pompous, but I had heard good reviews about him. Called to make another appointment to discuss my wife's x-rays of her knees explaining that I would be discussing them since my wife was confined to a wheelchair. When I arrived at his office, I was told by Guarino's receptionist that he would not see me, but had to see my wife. He did not have the courtesy to tell me this himself. Pompous.
I had 3 different surgeries with Dr. Garino & he is the best. I drove an hour this time to his new practice to stay with him. He is considerate of your questions and fears. He takes time to answer and explain to your level of understanding. He is visible postop and checks in on you often. His hospital team is efficient and those systems run smoothly. His office staff is the same. I just have to deal with doing my PT. I don't have the added stress of worrying that he is doing his job bc he is!
I was very happy with Dr. Garino and the total left knee replacement surgery he performed on me. Very neat and fairly small scar. Prescribed necessary pain medicine to get me through my recovery. Most importantly, I think, he arranged for in-home nursing care and in-home physical therapy the first two weeks after I left the hospital. Since I really didn't know what was normal in my recovery, having these professionals see me and report to him was a great relief to me and for my recovery.
