The real Florida! The boat tour was gorgeous: we saw birds, turtles, and even an alligator! My kids loved kayaking, and playing on the playground. And Trapper Nelson: he is a legend.
I do believe that JD is the best place to enjoy the out doors, Blue sky's lots of sun, so many great people work here too. The folks that run the river store are so awesome. Come join us.... Food truck is next to the river store, We have hamburgers, hotdogs, and Ice Cold Beer, how do I know all this I also work here, I run the food truck. So if you have friends or family visiting please come down and join us........
Great running trails. Just finished the green loop (50% sugar sand 25% paved 25% packed trail). Not too developed but clear enough so that you don't get lost. Be sure to bring a hydration pack as there's not much water available except at the entrance & the campsites.
loved it here. great campsites and everyone was super nice. I definitely suggest paddling the river.
