Spectacular place with incredible history and beauty
We come at least twice a year here and rent a cabin. It is a great relaxing getaway from the city life. Always a great experience. We will keep coming back for many years. 5 stars all the way
Environmental Education daily from 9-5, 2 family campgrounds with canoes, kayas, motorboats and bicycles to tour the Loxahatchee, picnic area with playground, 4 nature trails, bicycle trails and horse trails. Hobe Mountain Observation Tower offers a view of the 86' above sea level sand dune. Go there for nature walks and evening campfire programs. Tours are regularly at the Trapper Nelson Interpretive Site. They also have a Beer Garden open for happy hour every day from 2:00-4:00 down by the river. Everyone working at Jonath... read more
every time I go I see more plant species than the last time! Great variety of wetland and upland scrub habitats full of birds, butterflies and lizards. Smart, friendly staff too!
