We love Johnathon Dickerson State Park so much we volunteer there. With so much to see & do here you will never be bored. From competitive bike trails that draws many here to hiking trails. They have boat rides to Trapper Nelson’s & kayak rentals to enjoy on the Loxahatchee River. Bird watching, horse backing riding.Amazing sunsets, Informative ranger programs & the Kimball educational center are many of the delightful ways to spend time at JD. This park is amazing. Great for biking, hiking, camping, and have a nice playground for the kids
This is a great state park but watch out especially on the week-ends because the cars bringing the many bicyclists into the into the park speed down the main campground road and I've seen seven several near collisions. There is little to no speed limit enforcement that I've seen.
RecommendedAbsolutely beautiful, I have never been back that far, untouched beauty .

There is almost no place in Florida where you can see a near-natural landscape like this. Take your time and enjoy the wildlife. Lots of snakes and birds, tortoises and mammals, and of course alligators. Have a great time!
I work at the park in 2006 it is a beautiful park .yes I do recommend the park has little of everything for a fun Vacation.
