The customer service was terrible by the managers. We had always been told that if we bought wine from their marketplace and brought it in there would be no corkage fee. Yesterday the managers argued with us about that can kept telling us "It's only $30." I understand places have corkage fees but when your customers have been told things by your staff you should respect that and tell the customer that it will be the last time they will honor that. Instead the managers argued about the statement for awhile and made ridiculous... read more

This has been my favorite restaurant for nearly 20 years! I've had oysters all over the United States and the Caribbean, and you just can't find oysters Rockefeller as good as these! Top it off with seared Ahi tuna and a few Tito's dirty martinis, and I am in heaven! Hands down, the classiest restaurant between Chicago and St. Louis! For those complaining about service, personally I find that doubtful as I've never had an issue with service here; it's always top-notch. And for those complaining about price, go back to McDona... read more

I always get my favorite dinner, a big plate of fried oysters and the homemade tartar sauce. Also love the homemade au gratin potatoes and coleslaw. The service is great. The key lime pie is good if you have any room left.

Business response:

Thanks for a great review, Brian! Hope to see you back soon!

Had not been here in years and wont be back! Service was terrible, could not even get our water refilled! It was not that busy! Very expensive for small portions! My sons french fries were old and cold. My sister in law declined the fries she was supposed to get after her meal was half way over and she still had not received them! She never got the ranch she asked for. Dessert came 15 minutes after they said they were bringing it. I could honestly say so much more, just disappointed

We all traveled 2 hrs to celebrate a friends Birthday at her favorite place, booked rooms next door - only disappointment - we were told her name for 10 'was not on the list' really..... We ended up eating in the bar, great service, great food! We were not going to let the hostess that was not concerned about a reservation for 10, made at least a week prior, that somehow didn't appear in her book - put a damper on our friends Birthday!

Business response:

Thank you for the review, Penny! We apologize for the mishap! Happy birthday to your friend and we hope to see you back soon! Thank you for celebrating with us!

If you’re a seafood lover this is a must try in the Peoria area! The food was excellent and the service was just as good! Not much for a menu besides seafood so must love shrimp, oysters, fish among other things! Great view on the riverside and can be casual dress, great place for a special date or big group!

Business response:

Thank you for the 5 star review, Jason! We appreciate it! Hope to see you back soon!

Service was extremely slow. We had a table of 11. 20 minutes AFTER we ordered, they came back and said that they only had 2 steaks left. So of the 6 that ordered steak, 4 had to change their order. Them it was at least another 20 minutes before we got food. THEN many of the ordered were incorrect. Plus getting our drinks filled was a joke. Many of us just walked up to the bar and got our own. They did comp us all one drink on our tickets. This was my first time eating there and I was very disappointed.
