Severe pain in left hip. Scheduling an appointment was a booking over 30 days in future. I asked if they had a call list for cancellations. The reply to the question was not kind. My husband and I both had knee replacements several years ago and were extremely pleased with Dr Hop and our follow-up. We both had great outcomes. Dr. Hop and his PA(office staff too)are wonderful professionals I had for both my knee replacements in 2018. I can’t say enough about the care, TLC and information I was given over the past year. I had both surgeries at Holland Hospital and I’m glad to have had such caring, hands on nursing and support staff to assist me with my recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Hop & Co. for for any procedure (especially knees)you need now or in the future. These new knees have changed my life for the better!
Dr. Hop changed my life. I saw him after seeing another doctor in Grand Rapids with unsatisfactory results and a misdiagnosis. My friend, an RN, recommended him. She was correct. My x-rays did not show I needed surgery but my gait/pain called for an MRI which did show a shredded meniscus. Now I am walking the Appalachian Trail!
Dr. Hop did my mom's hip replacement surgery and was fabulous to work with. He met with her and explained things very well. His bedside manner is second to none.
Experience post op was unfavorable, never actually met with the Dr. After an excruciating sudden painful episode that required a call to the office the return call was from a PA who barely asked re: the problem and immediately prescribed muscle relaxers. Tried to get in to see the Dr. on Mon but was told none were available and the soonest appt. was Tues. Tues appt wasn't the Dr but a PA who repeatedly said it was normal, and everyone experiences pain differently-no questions were ever answered.
I was very impressed with Dr. Hop. I had brought in a disc of my CT, Mri, and x-ray that I had done. Dr. Hop took the time to explain the results to me. The staff at DR. Hop's office is very nice and treated me with respect! I was very satisfied with my first visit with DR. Hop. I look forward to being a patient of his. I will not see any other Orthopedic Surgeon! I highly recommend Dr. Hop to anyone!
Shoreline Orthopaedics in Holland, Michigan has the best surgeon in Dr. Jon Hop! I was suffering in unbearable pain from osteo-arthritis in my hips and right knee. The pain was so unbearable that I didn't know how I would be able to survive. Dr. Hop performed surgeries on my hips and right knee; hip replacements and a knee replacement. He completely changed my life forever and took the "pain" away. I just completed a walking tour of Prague, The Czech Republic. Thank-you, Dr. Hop!
Had hip replacement and Dr Hop cut the tendon to the gluteus mediums. Huge coverup to avoid lawsuit. I couldn't put any weight on my surgery leg. He kept putting me off by telling me it just takes time. He even lied about an MRI saying it looked fine. Second opinion Doctor looked at the same MRI and said "who did this". I will walk with a cane the rest of my life.
Dr. Hop has the expertise and a great bedside/ office manner to make him number one in his field.
