We spent 7 days in PICU and 1 day on the 9th floor after my daughter's Open Heart Surgery performed by Luca Vricella and Dr. Naru… Dr. Naru checked on her every morning with a huge smile on his face which reassured me as a mother. My first impression of Hopkins came through our Peds Cardiologist, Dr. Everett... He has a special connection with our Child and his overall prescence puts us at ease having a child with CHD. She is almost 1.5 mo post op, and we cannot express enough love and appreciation for the world class care t... read more
Was there twice with my son Grant Pack. First time was when he was 4 months old and contracted Infantile Botulism. He was in the PICU for a month and then Kennedy Krieger for another month. Second time Grant was 5 years old and contracted Stevens Johnson Syndrome. He was in the Children's Center for over a week. Both times the entire Hopkins staff were awesome. Had it not been for Hopkins we would have lost him. Grant is now 22 and is living life to the fullest. Thank you.
We spent 2 weeks in Johns Hopkins Children’s center after our 17month old daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor this past November. Dr. Ahn removed her tumor the next day after we found out about it and thankfully it was benign. Everyone from the receptionist, the Drs., nurses, even the people that transported her around the hospital were amazing! We still come to Hopkins for lots of appointments for our little girl and will for quite some time, but there isn’t any other hospital or Doctors I’d want taking care of our Em... read more
We were treated with respect and compassion. They were wonderful in calming my 16 year old and myself prior to her brain surgery. I have to say the staff went above and beyond to make her time there comfortable and the doctors and staff were very helpful, informative and always seemed ready to help.
The Children's Center was our lifeline for many years with our two sons who have/had a rare auto-immune disease. The care we received was was often challenging, but always compassionate. So happy to continue to give back with our annual fundraiser and in other ways. Thanks Hopkins doctors, nurses and Child Life Specialists!
After a very rocky pregnancy we found ourselves at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. I delivered my twin girls at 25.3 weeks and if it wasn’t for the amazing NICU nurses, RTs, NNPs and Doctors we would have had a much different outcome! This children’s center is amazing!!’
Thank you everyone who cared for my son yesterday. You have no idea how much it meant to us. You made this experience a lot better for all of us
