Horrifying. I have a loved one who was recently admitted thru the ER to Hopkins Bayview's inpatient detox unit. From the get-go, my loved one was treated rudely by doctor, nurses and the coordinator who would leave the room without questions answered. What was supposed to be a 3-5 day detox turned into only 2.5 days. My loved one was discharged on a Sunday morning at 7:30 am while still going thru withdrawal. I have been here about 4 times and only one of those times was I not treated like garbage. Went here this week for a suspected miscarriage and it was the last straw. After being in the ER waiting room for three or so hours they told my husband he had to leave due to COVID, which really upset us both. My Mother-in-law suffered a fall down the steps which resulted in a broken ankle. It was documented that she was at a Supervision level of PT and OT. This resulted in her unable to garner placement for a subacute facility due to their stating she was a higher level patient. They never even tested her ADLs (can she bathe herself) per mother-in- law. They checked arm strength, and that was Supervision???
