I was not happy over all with the entire staff. They seemed more interested in sitting I. Chairs then working. The doctor was knowlagable but spent very little time explaining anything to me. The condition of the hospital was dirty over all the floors and everything was dirty. I have been going to Howard County general since I was a kid and grew up in Columbia spent my hole life here and have never been more disappointed in the conditions there...
I love All Children's they are staff here is amazing. They did everything they could to accommodate us before during and after my daughters surgery
Simply put, the best in all ways. They care about you and the patient, you are not just another number to be pushed through.
Excellent patient care....the staff made an unexpected medical emergency much easier to cope with.
This place saved my life; literally. I went into the ER nearly having an asthma attack with dangerously low oxygen. They got me right in, took chest x-rays, ascertained I needed more care and got me admitted. The ER staff was fantastic from EMT's, intake, nurses, docs the whole team was attentive and caring. The nurses and docs that cared for me in the CDU (Clinical Decision Unit) were OUTSTANDING and I cannot stress that enough. Especially the nurses and tech's. Everyone there was very thorough and caring.
I took my 67 year old Aunt to the Emergency Room after she fell on the ice and hit her head. It was bruised and swollen all around her eye and forehead. She also hit her knee when she fell and was having trouble walking on it. After sitting in the waiting room for 2 hours, she was getting too uncomfortable to sit much longer. When we asked how much longer the wait would be, we were told an additional 8 hours to be seen in triage. This was following a head injury in an elderly woman! The nurse took good care of me and dressed my arm and leg but was there 8 hrs and could not wait for a doctor went got something to eat then home and slept for about 6 hours
