Didn't get to stay due to weather, dangerous weather issued by the nws, called 24 hours before stay and still had to pay $149. Coastal flooding on the islands from S.C. to Va. nothing to mess with, they didn't care, just pay up. Very disappointed in their judgement. Never will visit a business that puts money in front of safety.
How this place stays open is beyond me it's falling apart dirty Wood splinter stairs doors that were peeling off carpet that was peeling off the balconies absolutely nothing has been updated walls need to be painted nails were popping out a certificate of occupancy must have been paid off to receive
RecommendedThis place is great especially if you have pets! I come here every year. The staff is friendly and it's right on the beach. It's not a Hilton but it's clean and a great place to stay with your pet...very quiet here!
We had a nice time at John Yancey. Love the fact that we were right on the beach. Our room was some what updated, and always clean. We asked for pool view, but on ground floor it turn out to be a view of the parking lot. The staff was always around to address any problems. My one major complaint is the pool. The baby pool was dirty even after bringing it to their attention. The main pool was a nice size, but the pool deck needed to be clean. The large pool was clean for the most part. Stayed from July 1-3.They gave me the wrong room at first and when I pointed it out they gave me an upgrade. Walls were thin but room was great till it rained and water came in around the air conditioner.Just steps from the beach.Had a great time.Breakfast was better than expected. Will stay again!
