About this business
Opened in the summer of 2006 to replace the aging University Hall, the University of Virginia now holds its basketball games, concerts and other events in this 16,000 seat arena. Built almost entirely from a private donation, it takes its name from a former alumni, and not the Revolutionary War naval hero. It shouldn't be hard for fans to find, since it's right across the street from the old facility.

I've been to two concerts here and have had a great experience each time. It has a smooth operation and staff has always been friendly.
The concert was great. The employees were really nice. But all that was ruined by the seating situation. I was so cramped in my seat due to how close the seats in front were. I am 5'8" and could hardly move my legs when seated. So uncomfortable.
Loved the arena. We have been there before so know some of the tricks. We got an email recommending we get there early because of a football game. We did to our prepaid parking. Got our handicapped spot and watched a bunch of other well organized folks tailgating before. The staff was super getting hubby on his scooter in to his spot. Our seats were great and Carrie Underwood was amazing. Getting out was awful! Mostly because of rude impatient drivers.

Had a great time, this is a great place. Carrie was wonderful but my favorite was Luke Bryan.
